Sometimes the greatest changes begin when we slow down enough to notice ourselves again.
Walking, breathing, reflecting and sharing the journey with others can create the conditions for meaningful change.
Like the Relationship Reconnection Program, the Group Walk & Talk Program is guided by The Five Shifts.
The difference is how the Five Shifts are experienced —through movement, nature, shared learning and community connection.
Why Walk Together?
Modern life can leave us disconnected—from ourselves, from nature and from one another. Constant responsibility, busyness and digital distraction often leave little space to pause, reflect or simply be present.
Walking side by side creates a different kind of conversation. Many people find it easier to reflect, talk openly and become more present in both their bodies and surroundings.
Combined with the calming influence of nature, gentle movement and shared experiences, this creates an environment that supports emotional wellbeing, clearer thinking and meaningful connection.
More Than Just a Walk
This isn't simply a walking group. It's a guided experience of The Five Shifts, where movement, nature and conversation become practical ways of developing greater awareness, connection and emotional resilience.
Each week includes guided conversations, mindfulness practices, nervous system education, reflective exercises and opportunities to connect with others who are also committed to personal growth.
Rather than simply talking about change, you'll experience practical ways of becoming more present, emotionally aware and connected in everyday life.
The Five Shifts in Nature
Over five weeks, you'll gradually experience the Five Shifts through movement, conversation, reflection and shared learning.
Shift One: Commit
Begin by making time for yourself. Slow down, move your body and create space for reflection, curiosity and new possibilities.
Shift Two: Clarify
Develop a clearer understanding of your mind, body and nervous system, recognising the patterns that influence how you think, feel and relate.
Shift Three: Choose
Explore your values, boundaries and healthier ways of responding to yourself and others with greater intention.
Shift Four: Cultivate
Practise simple, evidence-informed tools that support emotional regulation, self-awareness and healthier daily habits.
Shift Five: Continue
Leave with practical strategies, greater confidence and a supportive foundation for continuing your personal growth beyond the program.
What to Expect
Each weekly session runs for approximately 90 minutes and combines guided walking, practical learning and relaxed conversation.
Together we will explore various peaceful areas throughout Centennial Park, incorporating mindfulness practices, gentle movement and opportunities for personal reflection.
Each session concludes at The Pantry Café, where conversation continues over tea or coffee. This relaxed time allows participants to reflect on the morning's experiences, ask questions and deepen the sense of connection within the group. Complimentary herbal tea and healthy snacks are provided.

Why This Program Is Different
Many walking groups offer companionship. Many personal development programs offer information.
The Group Walk & Talk Program brings both together through The Five Shifts—combining movement, nature, psychological insight and meaningful conversation within one carefully designed experience.
Drawing on nearly three decades of experience across counselling, psychotherapy, functional health and mental health, I've created a practical pathway that helps people reconnect with themselves, with others and with what matters most.
